Beach & Local InterestsA short stroll will take you to Mollymook Beach for great swimming and surfing - the beach is patrolled during summer at both the southern and northern ends of Mollymook Beach, rest of year just at southern end.A short car trip will take you to nearby Narrawallee Beach and the inlet at Narrawallee, which is perfect for a spot of fishing and/or bbq picnic. There is also a natural rockpool - "Bogey Hole" at Collers Beach just a few minutes away by car, which is a great place to take the kids swimming and snorkelling. You might like to try one of the many 4WD trails or walking/climbing trails at Pigeon House Mountain. Or a spot of deep sea fishing from one of the many charter boats that leave from Ulladulla harbour. There are 2 golf courses to choose from - the 9 hole course located beachside or the hilltop 18 hole championship course. Mollymook Golf clubhouse on the beach provides a great spot to have a relaxing drink and meal with terrific views. There is a plethora of restaurants ranging from haute cuisine (Bannisters Point Lodge) to cafe style, or why not try the fresh seafood from the Ulladulla Wharf and have a cook up on the BBQ!!! The local village shops are only a short distance from the house and include a video/dvd hire, bakery, butcher, gourmet deli, fruit & veg, bottleshop, supermarket, chemist and takeway fish & chips. Ulladulla is approximately a 5 minute car trip from Mollymook Beach and is a large commercial town where you will find all major supermarkets, banks, cafes, movie theatre and the like. The Ulladulla Wharf Markets are held every 2nd Sunday of the month. At Milton you will find a number of craft shops, antique stores and galleries, plus a number of gourmet cafes, with a couple of fresh and organic food providores. A Country Market is held at Milton the first Saturday of every month. The Milton Scarecrow & Harvest Festival this year will be held on June long weekend. The Milton Settlers Fair will be held on the October long weekend. The Bogey holes are a natural rock formation ideal for snorkeling and sheltered bathing. The rock holes are accessed by driving through the golf course. Park in the car park and take a short walk (20m) to the pools. You can also walk around from Mollymook beach if you want to investigate. This a great spot for young children and the elderly. Pools "evaporate" at low tide.
